Biomass has some disadvantages to it, these are some of them:
Burning biomass results in air pollution which also depends on the type of biomass it replaces. Burning most garbage releases chemicals and substances that can be harmful towards people.Biomass produces greenhouse emissions and other forms of carbon dioxide gases.
It takes more energy to plant,cultivate and harvest the crops and trees then it's worth to get energy gain. Liquid bio fuel used more energy to grow and manufacture than it delivered in the form of usable fuel. Liquid bio fuel usually is in highly energy cars for them to work.
Biomass admits some Co2 in the air, and you need a large amount of space to use it. Or else, it has been proven that some Biomass can destroy woods and other forests. Co2 is the most caused use for global warming and still there's more and more every day in the air.
